News: Hideki Kuriyama, manager of the Japanese national baseball team,
has concluded his U.S. tour. He met with four candidates for Japan’s
@WBCBaseball roster: Shohei Ohtani, Yu Darvish, Yusei Kikuchi and Seiya
Suzuki.

Kuriyama-san told me through interpreter Hiroshi
Abei that all four have expressed a positive attitude about playing for
Samurai Japan, but final decisions will wait until closer to the
tournament.
